Utilizes knowledge bases of nursing education and experience in order to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.  Responds to life threatening situation with appropriate interventions.  Practices in a Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Invasive Radiology environment through the application of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, included but not limited to cardiac pacing, hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation.  Organizes patient care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating on an ongoing basis.

1) Assumes responsibility for clinical competency and professional development
2) Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the nursing process for patients in the following age    groups: adolescents, adults and geriatrics
3) Documents accurately and appropriately, following regulatory and hospital requirements
4) Participates in the responsible management of healthcare resources
5) Recognizes Core Measure Patients and takes actions accordingly
6) Knowledge of medications, treatments and their correct administration based on the age of the patient,
    adolescents through the geriatric population, and their clinical condition
7) Educates patients and families about cardiovascular risk factors, how to promote a healthy way of living

Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program.

Technical/Formal Training: Must obtain and maintain a current BLS.  If ACLS and PALS certified upon hire, must maintain, otherwise, obtain certifications within first 6 months of employment and maintain.

Experience: 2 years preferred on cardiac floor or Critical Care Unit (ED, ICU)

Licensure:Current Oklahoma RN license.
