What You’ll Do 

The Medical Assistant II is responsible for performing clinical and support functions for patients and clinical staff.   

The successful candidate will be able to:  

  • Transport, room, and prep patients for physician, APP, or nurse
  • Take vital signs, perform medication reconciliation, allergy reviews, and obtain medical history
  • Perform venipuncture and EKGs as directed
  • Assist with nuclear stress testing under the supervision of the physician
  • Monitor for dysrhythmias and events which can adversely affect the patient during stress testing
  • Accurately document information in the EMR
  • Assist nurse with clinic preparation and chart abstraction


What You’ll Bring 

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program required
  • Registered or Certified MA certificate or equivalent required
  • 2 years of MA experience strongly preferred
  • Must have a passion for excellence  
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Professionalism displayed through sound judgement, initiative, and flexibility  
  • Good interpersonal, communication, team-work, and customer service skills  
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and follow-through skills  
  • Ability to multi-task constantly, react to changes quickly/productively, and tolerate interruptions  
  • Ability to perform work when no directions are given, and give directions to others  
  • Remain flexible, organized, professional and able to analyze, make sound decisions under stressful situations    
  • Demonstrate maturity and accountability
