Coder ~ Utica Park Clinic

Utica Park Clinic is currently looking for a member to join our team. The Coder will report directly to the Director of Coding.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Want to make a difference? The ideal team member will:

  • Correctly identify the proper CPT-4 code to use from the productivity sheets

  • Assemble the proper medical records (H&P, discharge summary, cath and EP reports, etc.) to assign the proper ICD-10 diagnosis codes

  • Utilize the proper coding to receive the correct payment from payers

  • Provides information to patient account representatives and administration on physician productivity, coding and entry patterns

  • Tracks productivity sheets and charge tickets turned in by physicians to insure all charges are entered timely

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 – 3 years medical medical coding experience required
  • CPC Required

SKILLS

Excellent written/verbal/telephone communication skills are essential, along with basic computer knowledge.
